Sir Grange also has a high tolerance for foot traffic and wear, with excellent self-repairing capability, once the root zone is established to a depth of 200mm.

This requires regular watering and we recommend installing an irrigation system prior to laying this variety of turf.
Low allergenic grass type, and its soft fine leaf texture is ideal for children and pets. It can handle full sun and also has a high shade tolerance (only needs 4 – 5 hours of direct sunlight a day).

Sir Grange grass requires up to 50% less mowing than other common turf varieties and 75% less nitrogen.

Regular applications of fertiliser are essential for strong, healthy and deep rooted lawns.

A mixture of organic and artificial fertiliser is recommended to promote steady growth, and the best times to do that are Autumn and Spring.

Depending upon your soil, it may be necessary to fertilise more in the first couple of years until the roots of the turf have fully established.

For an even distribution use a fertiliser spreader. You can purchase a hand held or a push along version from Bunnings.
Both lawn grub and army worm are prevalent in South East Qld. They can devastate a lawn within a matter of days. They can also re-infest numerous times during the season.

Due to the rate at which grubs feed (and destroy your lawn) use a fast acting insecticide such as Grub Guard

If rain is coming apply the treatment while the rain is falling

If you are treating during a dry spell remember to water the insecticide into the lawn

Apply the treatment again after two weeks – eggs can take two to five weeks to hatch

Use a preventative treatment of Acelepryn which lasts up to 6 month and is bee friendly
